About Room 323

Room 323 its a nonprofit training initiative offering underserved individuals the tools, skills, and mentorship to pursue opportunity through the craft of cutting and styling hair. In doing so, we hope to inspire our students to continue to pay it forward by creating further opportunities within the spin of each chair.

Launches January 2026 | 6 weeks, 2 days per week. Open to youth + young adults [ages 16-33], accepting 4 applicants per cohort.

Who it’s for . . .

• Individuals who are preparing to enter a 1250 hour cosmetology/barbering program

• Individuals who are preparing for their board exams

• Individuals that need a refresher/additional guidance while entering or navigating the beauty industry

• Individuals looking for a career change

• Fundamentals of cutting

• Identifying different hair textures + curl patterns

• Styling techniques

• Client communication + confidence

• Personal presentation + entrepreneurship

• Professional development

• Cosmetology/Barber school enrollment support

• State Board licensing exam prep
